These wedding rings are interesting for their contrast of warm red gold and black patina. They are made of gold wires embedded in silver, which is patinated. The inside of the ring is smooth gold. Red gold, purity 0,585 (14 carats). Silver purity 0,925.
The ratio of gold and silver is approx. 4:1. Cannot be determined exactly.
It is not mokume gane material (technology) in the true sense. We have placed the ring in this category due to the fact that it is also a layered material of multiple types of precious metal.
